چکیده
Abstract We present an alternative technique for estimating the response of a cold atom interferometer (CAI). Using data from conventional inertial measurement unit (IMU) and common strapdown terminology, position wave packet is tracked in newly introduced sensor frame, enabling hybridization both systems terms acceleration angular rate measurements. The frame allows easier mathematical description CAI integration into higher-level navigation systems. dynamic resulting transformation IMU are evaluated simulations. implementation method as prediction model extended Kalman filter explained demonstrated realistic simulations, showing improvements over two orders magnitude with respect to solution. Finally, implications these findings future hybrid quantum discussed.

متن کاملApplications of Inertial Navigation Systems in Medical Engineering
Inertial navigation systems are of the most important and practical systems in determining the velocity, position and attitude of the vehicles and different equipment. In these systems, three accelerometers and three gyroscopes are used to measure linear accelerations and angular velocities of vehicles, respectively. By using the output of these sensors and special inertial algorithms in differ...

The errors of inertial sensors affect the navigation accuracy of the strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) and are accumulated over time in nature. In order to continuously maintain the high navigation accuracy of vehicles for a long time period, an initial alignment and self-calibration is necessary after the SINS starts. Additionally, the observability analysis is one of the key techniq...
متن کاملSimulation of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System Using Modeled and Analysed Inertial Sensor Data
Inertial sensors comprise of two primary sensor units: accelerometers and gyroscopes. An inertial measurement unit (IMU) combines multiple accelerometers and gyros, usually three of each, to produce a three-dimensional measurement of specific force and angular rate (Weston and Titterton 2000). New designs of INS employ a strap down architecture, whereby the inertial sensors are fixed with respe...
